LTDA policy statement - Taxi service























London taxi community has published their support for taxi laws and favor in following policies. We at Wokingham Taxi are open for all the critics and suggestions regarding these publications.

LTDA Policy Statement

1. LTDA (cool as LAPD) is determinant to eliminate the restriction from taxi drivers over work timings and hours and compulsion of tachograph implementation in cabs regardless of so many organizations opposing this decision.

2. LTDA completely opposes the computerized knowledge testing system named Quickie-Knowledge which has the main focus on speeding up the licensing process.

3. They are in favor of supporting regular review of taxi usage in London according to which taxi fleet can provide efficient and effective management to reduce the empty cabs in London. Less useless cabs mean less traffic.

4. They are also supporting the idea of placing “rest rank” option in taxis which lets drivers leave their cabs unattended in case of emergency like using toilet facility or getting medical attention in sickness.

5. Favors in supporting the pedicabs ban.

6. LTDA has intensively insisted on consolation provided by transport of London to be meaningful and helpful. There should not be the information which totally disregards the individual query.

7. Favors and supports the deployment of efficient enforcement team for effective training to annihilate illegal blusters of minicab drivers.

8. LTDA has started the campaign in favor of letting taxis access the bus lanes, because they see the profit margin at bus points.

9. Taxi drivers should not be liable and assess-able to excessive crowded and overcrowding charges.

10. LTDA strongly supports the law of recruit, support and represents licensed and qualified taxi drivers.
